Dear Old Boys:

AVM Chris Marizu Laid To Rest
The obsequies for the late Air Vice Marshall Christian Obinna Marizu were successfully concluded 1st April 2016 at Umuawala, Nkwerre, Imo State.
At first the St John Church was going to be used but seeing the high number of guests, a timely decision was made to have an open air service. It went well.
The military were adequately represented. A naval band commenced music production immediately after the ceremony. Even though a very long speech made by the representative of the Air Force tasked the patience, it was a glowing and respectable tribute for our mate and old boy – Chris Marizu.
As a part of the plan, BFHS was recognized and invited to present the school song. Six Old Boys (Dada Ajai-Ikhile – BIFOBA National General Secretary – who also represented the Global President and the National Executive Council, Louis Otoh, Yemi Nelson, Robson Ndiokho, Femi Kufeji and Charles Adeniji) sang the song to the admiration of the guests.
Chris Marizu was finally laid to rest within the compound of his house in Umuawala with gun salutes.
