Old Boys Association of Birch Freeman High School (BIFOBA) will on Friday, 5th of February, 2016 flag-off a 2-day Founders’ day event.
Distinguished old boys of the school from all walks of life both home and abroad will converge at the 1,500 capacity (banquet setting) multipurpose hall of the school built by the Old Boys’ Association.
Day 1 of the event will begin with a Seminar on Employability and Entrepreneurship by Mr. Tope Toogun, while Mrs Abisola Longe will speak on Productivity + Living your dream life. The attendees will benefit from these lectures by seasoned professionals as it would equip and make them self-reliant for future challenges.
Outstanding students who have performed excellently within the past one year shall be awarded on the Prize-giving Day which will hold on Saturday, 6th of February in the school hall. Memories from last year’s event are still fresh to some of the students. Deserving students who won the award are in serious competition to maintain their position of winning awards this year.
Cash-backed endowments for outstanding students ranging from N 25, 000 to N 50, 000 from BIFOBA Guild Members will be announced.
The event will also unveil the N3.5 million Musical Equipment donated by the North American Chapter of BIFOBA to form a BFHS 30-Student Musical Orchestra by the Deputy Governor of Lagos State. 5 students each from 17 secondary schools (in BFHS League) will be in attendance.
Preparations are on top gear in ensuring this year’s Founders’ Day celebration is remarkable and memorable. Students and Old Boys are already counting down in great anticipation of the annual event.
Old Boys have been encouraged to attend both events in the usual dress code of the School Blazer and Business Casual respectively.
The Founders’ Day serves as morale-booster and avenue for the students to familiarize with their old boys.
